A Message from John Alban
After decades claiming- in all earnestness, that I am determined to ‘get out more often’, I realize that my goal isn’t really to be out and about: it’s to connect with you all a bit more personally if possible. With that in mind, I am inviting you to a special event right here in San Luis Obispo (SLO) at a beautiful barn we built specifically for private wine celebrations. Yep- I went from hermit to host just like that.
Hermit may be a bit strong: for over 30 years I have had the privilege of overseeing and organizing a substantial number of wine events. But rarely have those gatherings featured our wines. Historically I have delighted in the opportunity to put a spotlight on producers from around the world whom I know to be outstanding characters making wines of great character. How much folks have enjoyed these seminars has compelled me to keep doing them and, at long last, to participate in them as both host and winemaker. On May 4th Nikolas and Julia Krankl join us for a day of discussion and authentic indulgence.
